JG is a French photographer shooting portraits and fashion from his studio in Shibuya and on location. Tokyo-based since 2015, he has photographed for major organizations and independent labels, as well as local and international artists. He speaks English, French, and Japanese.

Process

1. The Session

All sessions take place at JG’s studio in Shibuya (see on Google Maps).

On-location shoots available on request.

2. The Gallery

A private digital gallery is delivered within 24 hours for you to select your favourite photographs.

Additional retouched photographs at ¥10,000 each.

3. The Finish

Each selected photograph is retouched by hand: organic skin refinement, precise texture management, bespoke color grading.

Delivery within seven days.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a portrait session cost?

There are three packages: The Signature Mini at ¥30,000, The Editorial at ¥60,000, and The Verre at ¥120,000.

What is included in the session fee?

The shoot itself, the studio time it takes place in, and retouched photographs. The Signature Mini includes 3 retouched images, The Editorial 6, and The Verre 12.

Roughly how long does a session run?

As a guide, The Signature Mini runs at least 30 minutes, The Editorial at least 60 minutes, and The Verre at least 120 minutes.

Do I need to book the studio separately?

No. Studio time is included in the session fee.

Where do sessions take place?

At JG Studio in Dogenzaka (access), about five minutes from Shibuya Station. Shooting on location is also possible, in which case the price may vary.

Is hair and makeup included?

No, and neither is required. If you would like them, they can be arranged and quoted separately.

Do I receive the unedited original files?

Yes, on request.

When will I receive my retouched images?

Within 7 days of your selection of the images you would like edited.

How and when do I pay?

By credit card or cash on the day of the shoot. Advance payment by card is also possible if you prefer.

What language will the shoot be directed in?

English, Japanese or French, whichever you are most comfortable with.

Is there a cancellation policy for sessions?

If you need to change or cancel a booking, please get in touch as early as you can.
